WELCOME TO THE BIG CITY!
Last weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity to go to NEW YORK!
It was amazing, the furthest I've been in the U.S. (besides Hawaii)
It was a very cool experience.
I did all the cliche things you do in New York, and it was a blast!!
So I've narrowed down my pictures, but of course its still a lot....
And here is one of the two times I ate NEW YORK style pizza. YUM!
This picture shows a lot of the musicals that are playing on broadway. I didnt realize they had so many!
The oh so famous....

The Rockefeller Center, they just put in the ice rink. Movies make it appear much larger than it really is, but its still cool!
I loved all the flags that are up around the rockefeller center, very cool looking.
This is where they film good morning america...unfortunately we weren't there for that one.

The EMPIRE STATE BUILDING!
We chose not to go up it, a little disappointing, but there was so much to do, and so little time. I mean, MACYs was having huge sales! come on, right? haha.
this is a quick shot of china town, where I bought my "gucci" purse for $30, amazing!
Me and Gail infront of the Brooklyn Bridge

Very hard to see, but that is the statue of liberty in the background
The city!
This is located in Battery Park, it used to be a water fountain in front of the world trade center, of course you can tell its been damaged, but they put it here in memory of 9/11.

Here is ground zero under construction. It was actually a little emotional to be there. I know its been 7 years now, but you can see, they still have a lot of construction to be done. It looks like a cool design though what they have projected for 2012, or later.
This tower is almost done being built, it was the last tower that went down and the first one to go up. I learned a lot that day that I didn't know about 9/11.
Our tour guide reminded us that after the towers came down, the area still burned for 100 days, even in uptown new york you could smell the burning. woah. Very interesting.
Me, Tracey and Gail. I love these ladies, they were a lot of fun to be with!

Dr. Um wasnt with us this day, she has two brothers that live in queens and long island, so she went to spend time with them while we walked all around manhatten.
This is so brief compared to the 30 min. slide show my family got. haha. There is so much cool stuff in New York. It was a very neat place to visit. I could have sworn I lost like 10 pounds in those few days, but unfortuately I did not. We walked sooo much, it was fun! The reason we took the trip was for a class we had 8-5 on friday about INVISALIGN. We got trained on how the system works, and now our doctor is certified to begin using invisalign. Pretty cool. Everything was wonderful while we were there, my only complaint...our hotel. EWW. It was a disaster...but thats a WHOLE other story. haha. So focusing on the fun, we loved the broadway show, the tour of the city, getting to see the statue of liberty, and of course flying...haha. I have come to understand the term "jet-lag" because I wasn't tired at all when I got home, until monday night. haha. Well that was the story of our amazing weekend trip to New York. I hope someday to go back, with Alex, and then hopefully by then the new Freedom Tower will be finished!
