Oh so much has been going on. I think everyone can feel it though how hard its been to take time to update... so lets see what I can smoosh into one blog!
First, we hope everyone is getting ready for Christmas and is as excited as we are!
So here are some pics of Christmas preparations....
It all began just a few weeks ago....an email from dad saying, "any volunteers for helping put up Christmas lights?" Usually I was the one pushing everyone to get the lights up, even climbing on the roof myself...yes...not the taller one though...haha. Last year, they managed to do without me...but this year they were in need. Honestly I didnt really do much, but I guess being there was enough moral support.
So here is monkey Jason on the roof....
Here's me all bundled up...and helping...haha
We worked all night long! haha. It went rather quickly this year though because my dad has it figured out perfectly...all the lights are labeled in order in which they hang so that it goes much faster, and where to attach extension cords.... with the 3 peaks, it actually can't all be attached on one plug...which we discovered a few years ago after blowing out some fuses.
Here is the lovely final result...hard to see....but there's the iceicle lights, and then bush lights on 4 bushes...and on the very far right a rope light going up the tree. Very exciting.
So finally the day before yesterday...yes the 17th, we put up the Christmas tree in our house. I decided to not be very picky and just put the lights on, and get it over with.
Here's the beauty... no ribbons or bows....just lights and ornaments. haha.
Maybe next year we will make it very pretty

(From the willow tree collection....for anyone else who loves those too)

And we all know that I said yes....so on that trip we had to collect some ornaments to keep for our memories.

another cute Disney ornament

Here are some other meaningful ornaments to us.
In the Miller family, each girl is a Disney princess... so when I joined the family I became,
^--Snow White
Alex likes Buzz Lightyear-->
^--Here's an ornament of Alex's seminary class his senior year...I know its not clear...but all those people are special to him.
This ornament is just one that both Alex and I used to have on our trees as a kid and I'm sure many others did too -->
Okay, and last thing I will blog about.... our recent trip to DISNEYLAND!
I must say THANK YOU to Perry and Donna, they were so sweet to treat us so well while we were there. So this was my 3rd year going with the Miller's. We also had another addition this year....Meghann's fiance...Emilio Hernandez...he goes by Emi though. So we had a lovely time...this was last weekend we went. I fell in love with the new Toy Story ride in California Adventure. If the line wasn't so long, and didn't keep breaking down I would have gone on it all day! It beats out my old love of the Buzz Lightyear ride, which is now my #2.
Okay....so here's pics that only show a sneak of how much fun we had!
Of course I only really have pics of Alex and I, but you can check out my mother in law, Donna's blog, on my right hand column under Miller High Life....she will probably be posting pics soon, that will have the whole family.
In front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle
Here's the spot infront of the castle where Alex proposed 2 years ago...so sweet!
And yes, we did see MICKEY MOUSE
I thought this was pretty good timing for a pic....
Alex was so cute pointing his at Buzz.
This was just after they came off the ride Space Mountain
which I don't do.... I did once though years ago...
Silly fun faces
The beautiful Jungle Cruise ride.... they really did an awesome job with the animals on this ride. I love it!
A side view of Mr. Potato Head before going on the new Toy Story ride... LOVE IT!
The beautiful Cruella De Vil....she was funny to watch....I tried to capture her face of being irritated the people wanted pics with her...haha. Funny character.
Alex was so silly after that.
It was funny because all day in taking pics, Emi would stick his finger to his nose just before the pic was taken. Meghann said that they won't have any nice pics of the whole trip because he did it in almost every picture. haha. This is when they were just driving past me on the Autopia ride. haha.
We went to Bubba Gump's for lunch the next day before heading home. Alex ate what they call Shrimper's Heaven. haha. He did just about finish all of it too!
So that has been our fun life in the past couple weeks. We look forward to some more fun with a couple days off here at Christmas time. Look forward to more posts following the holidays, maybe before then... we will see....
Oh, and on Christmas, we get to talk to Tyson on the phone...so that will be exciting! Only this call and then the mothers day call, and then he's be home in November...wow!
Well until next week...MERRY CHRISTMAS!

How fun! Looks like you and ALex have been having so much fun! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas! Love ya!
That was fun to read! I love the Buzz Lightyear ride, I can't wait to try the new one. Disneyland is my favorite place ever. Tyler and I went for our honeymoon and we have a beautiful ornament of Mickey and Minnie standing on a white ball turned sideways wearing their wedding attire. I love it, it was about $25 or something crazy like that, but whatever.
