Bitter sweet end to the summer

Well! It's a bitter sweet moment. Alex is sad that this summer job is ending because it has been a blast...and now he has started back at school. However, it is sweet because I get to see him more often now! Alex has worked very hard this summer, they used him all day long and then some. When he wasn't running the paintball games, he was driving kids to the nearby lake for water activities, and if he wasn't doing that they had meetings or campfires to attend to. It was all worth it though because Alex had a blast this summer. He is already talking about ideas for next summer, and how to make paintball even better....oh boy, I don't know if I can really handle another summer of Alex being away so much...but then again thats what I thought 3 summers ago when he worked up there just after we started dating....and then when we were first married...and then again this year....so hey, whats another year, right?! haha. Anyways...we will see. I did go up last Friday and spend some time on one of the hottest days there to watch Alex in action has he ran paintball. I got to meet many of the new friends he has made, so that was cool! I had to get some shots to show what an amazing job Alex did on the paintball field.

Here is Alex owning his field:

I tryed getting a close up of the field. Alex set up each one of those bunkers all by himself. The netting had been put up before that, but everything else he pretty much did himself! He's amazing....and has a good eye for what a paintball field should look like.

There he is in his red/black face mask, and just a t-shirt and shorts and he walks across the field to check the kids as they are playing the game.

I am glad that tomorrow my "slo-mo" (his camp name) will be coming home for good. He has done an amazing job this summer making sure I am happy by coming home when he could, I know it was a sacrifice, but it made it more bearable having him away so much. It has been fun to watch the excitement in his eyes as paintball director and all the fun experiences he has had.
